Grzybowo is a small holiday village situated in Kolobrzeg area on the very coast of the Baltic. It is on the depression level( 1m below sea level) in the area where the Baltic forms the so called Grzybowo Bay, 7 km in length. As a result, the water temperature is higher than e.g. Kolobrzeg. It is a place visited mainly by tourists who want to rest from the hustle and bustle of a big city. A sandy beach is an ideal place to spend sunny days. It is worth mentioning that one can get to Kolobrzeg harbour ( about 6 km ) or Drzwirzyn ( about 10 km ) walking along the shore to the east. Grzybowo, like the whole Kolobrzeg area, lies in the Protected Landscape Zone under Resort Protection rules. |

Climate |

The climate differs from the inland one as it is mostly influenced by the sea winds, which bring masses of clean, filtered from allergens air. Another advantage of the place is the fact that it is industry-free area. The closeness of the sea causes the effect of the so called sea breeze, that is, the wind blowing towards the land during the day and towards the sea at night. Another characteristic feature of the beach microclimate is the so called sea aerosol, which is formed when particles of iodine, chlorine, bromine and others are freed from the sea water. The aerosol occurs when there are waves, that is ,on windy days and its reach is 200 – 300 m from the shore. Its tiny particles can reach the furthest parts of the air passages; as a result , the specific Kolobrzeg climate is used for climate-therapy including:

Even though Grzybowo is a small place, one can find here restaurants and bars, well-stocked shops, and a post office. Those looking for other attractions are advised to go to Kolobrzeg ( 5 km away ) which is one of the most popular resorts in Poland offering spa services rehabilitation centres, sports equipment hire centres and others.
